To the Moon and Back Gala 2020

Each year The Frist Museum hosts a fundraising Gala to support the museum’s education and community engagement programs. This is one of the premier social events in Nashville. The Gala’s theme takes inspiration from an in-house exhibition at the Frist. The theme of this Gala takes inspiration from a fictitious exhibition called Apollo's Muse: The Moon in the Age of Photography. It honors the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. The navy envelope containing the invitation, parking pass, and an RSVP would be mailed to each person invited, and the brochure would be at each seat at the Gala.

The metallic paper and gold foil textures reference the texture of the moon in an elevated fashion. All of the elements come together in an interactive and cohesive manner that makes the patrons excited to be invited to this event, and more likely to attend.
